Congrats to Becca and Trinity UMC Montpelier

Congratulations to Becca Clark ( a regular over at Holy Leftovers) and her congregation and web folks at Trinity United Methodist Church in Montpelier, VT. They just recieved the annual award for the best web site in the Troy Annual Conference. The site ( http://www.trinitymethodistvt.org/ ) is sleek, informational and provides lots of great content. I encourage everyone to take a look at what a church site can look like if you have people with knowledge and energy involved. Job Well Done!
I hope to use their site to gather ideas for working on our own at numc.net (Newtonville UMC). Over the next year the Troy Annual Conference will be no more. The conference will be in part joining with other three other upstate conferences (North Central, Wyoming and Western NY, to become the new Upstate New York Annual Conference. (info on the New Annual Conference can be found at http://www.uppernewyork.org ). Another portion of Troy Conference (those churches in Vermont – inlcuding Becca’s) will be shifting into the New England Annual Conference. Maybe that will give NUMC a chance at the best website award next year….
Congrats again to Trinity UM and may God be with you as we all transition to the future.
